PPG Water-Based Paint
Goverts Auto Body has made the switch to using PPG Waterborne Paints. PPG from the late 1980's has been the leader in research and development in water-based paints, moving away from their solvent based paints. Enviroment is their number one reason. Body shops are not sacrificing quality or perfromance. Water borne paints contain a lower VOC or volitile organic compounds, than solvent based paints, making it easier to control the air quality inside the shop or spray facility. Water borne paints reduce the production of VOC's, improves air quality, promotes health and safety of employees, all with achieving the best quality and performance. "How does this all work, you ask?" High- tech latex resin pigment designed to stay in suspension, color pigments are suspended in a specifically formulated acrylic waterborne latex resin. This resign is designed to do a number of things. Solid latex core delivers durable color and latex particles cling together for sustainable color.
